Midnight of my life

Interview with Glass Caves

Yes, as the title already states – I met the self-titled-lord that is Scott Disick last Monday. LedigoPR hosted a meet and greet at the Lowry hotel in Manchester. As always, Stephanie and her team did an amazing job decorating the venue …

I got there a bit early, enjoyed a nice glass of red (9.75£ – Blimeyyyy!) and chatted to a few of the people who were waiting to meet reality tv star Scott Disick.

The four thirteen year old girls from Manchester arrived quite early and brought a self made collage – aren’t they the cutest?!?

Amongst the audience I also spotted Vince Brooks and Ellie Leach from Coronation street …

and Cheshire’s real housewife Magali Gorre….

The nice thing about events hosted by LedigoPR is meeting the same bloggers over and over again. It feels like a little blogger family and Stephanie and her staff sure know how to make us feel welcome and treat us just like any other celebrity – we always get the special treatment.

Since Scott Disick was about an hour and a half late, we had plenty of time to catch up, take photos and enjoyed the band.

Chelsea Norris from Key 103 radio did a little Q&A with Magali and everyone in the audience loved Magali – now I have to admit that I’ve not seen any of the real housewives episodes but after having met Magali I am intrigued to catch up on the housewives.

And then he finally showed up – confused, not shaved, not looking dapper at all!

IMG_8681As he took a seat and Chelsea started asking away, he mumbled into the microphone “I have been asleep the past 15 hours…” “The UK is so big, we have been driving for 15 hours and we were still in the same country…. in the US you’ll drive for 15 minutes and you’re in a different state…” Ehmmm, excuse me your majesty but have you been sipping too much booze, popped too many pills or sniffed too much snow? I think you must be mistaken because if I recall – and I used to live in America – it is the other way around.

After a few anecdotes about his journey, VIP ticket holders queued up to meet the lord and to get their pictures taken… and so did I…

“Well hello there!” were the only words that left his lips whilst I had my picture taken with him … not very talkative, that much I can tell you.

Despite Scott Disick being a big disappointment, I still had a great night and that’s thanks to LedigoPR. These girls know how to throw a damn party – whether it is a meet and greet, an anniversary party or a launch. From welcoming their guests, to pampering them, decoration and topping up glasses with bubbly – they are spot on and that’s why their PR firm is constantly growing. Companies want to be presented by them and bloggers want to be on their guest list.

All the best,

Nina xxx

Thursday nights are the new Friday nights – haven’t you heard? So when I received an invitation to this uber trendy event, I knew there would be no way I would miss out on this one. The event was hosted by LedigoPR. Now if you’re a blogger in the Greater Manchester area, you are familiar with them. Stephanie is the managing director and let me tell you, she is a sweetheart. I have never been to another event more organised or staff being more attentive.

Ed’s Hair & Beauty is located in Salford – just 5 minutes outside of the city centre and approximately a 6£ Uber ride from House of Fraser. To celebrate their 4 year anniversary, they’ve invited Bloggers, family, customers and many, many more.

I’ve brought my friend and fellow Blogger Jess along. We arrived a bit early but nonetheless Ed’s team welcomed us with open arms.

After we have been given our first glass of bubbly, the staff took our coats and the pampering began – to be honest, I personally feel like the pampering began the moment we arrived. Jess and I were in for a treat and so was everyone else – we all received individual treatments. My stylist Charlotte gave me a moisture treatment and did an amazing job blow drying my hair.

My hair was so shiny and full of body, I couldn’t stop looking at myself in the mirror – I was so amazed and felt very glamorous.

We were musically entertained by a former X-Factor and boyband star

and every Sushi lover must’ve thought they died and went straight to Sushi heaven …

… unfortunately I am not one of them, so I just kept on sipping my bubbly.

Blogger events are always so much fun because you get to meet fellow Bloggers and make new friends but this one in particular made it to my top 3. The people were lovely, Ed’s team felt like a big family, a very competent family I might add and LedigoPR really know how to throw a party.

So glad to have finally met Steph in person that we obviously had to take a selfie …

As mentioned in the beginning of the post, I have met a few new Bloggers such as Anna, Sabina and Sarah and am already looking forward to seeing them at future events.

Living near Spinningfields and being an uber Dirty Dancing geek, it was pretty obvious that I would be attending the screening of Dirty Dancing at Screenfields. Throughout the summer they had regular screenings on a Thursday night. For 3 quid you get to experience a festival/open air cinema ambiente with fellow human beings who enjoy being out in the sun, drinking wine, prosecco or beer whilst watching a flick just as much as you do.

I knew that we had to get there early due to massive queues but even I was a bit surprised when the boyfriend and I turned up at 18.15 and couldn’t even get in anymore because Mancunians had already spread out their picnic blankets on the lawns and the deck chairs were probably taken by the time Screenfields opened the lawns.

Fair enough, the security guards let us in through the back and we just kinda sneaked all the way to the front and luckily found a spot.

People knew the popular phrases such as ‘I carried a watermelon’ or ‘Nobody puts baby in the corner’ by heart and I really enjoyed the vibe. Girls clapping and ‘wooing’when Patrick Swayze appeared on screen – all in all you can say it was a pretty rad night.

The highlight however, was the end scene.Well you know, when Patrick Swayze returns, steals Baby away,  holds this awesome speech and they have their final dance. Everyone from the audience got up  and started to sing along to ‘ Time of my life’ and just oddly swayed along to the tune. It was mesmerising and even the boyfriend unexpectedly enjoyed the screening. I don’t know whether it was the film, the weather, the people or the location but the combination of all four made this particular Thursday evening pretty amazing.
